juice is a good way. you can also make home made pop-sickles with fruit juice and then adding fruit to it like blue berries and things. when i was a kid i loved eating fruit frozen. i liked frozen grapes, just wash them, put them in a zip lock bag and freeze them.

you can also try putting some in his yogurt or cereal. also you mentioned he likes apple sauce, well now they make apple sauce with other fruits added to it, like strawberries and things.

you should ask him what he doesn't like about them. it might not be the taste, it might be the texture. if it is the texture then try taking the fruit and preparing it in a different way.

Does he like yogurt? I get plain vanilla yogurt and put in little tiny bits of fruit and tell my kids that it is pudding. It works for us!

I also make fresh smoothies with bananas and strawberries mostly and give them "milkshakes"

Puree other fruits and add them to the applesauce?

Cherry cobbler, or fruity yogurt

Puree fruits and add them to spaghetti sauces

Puree fruits and add them to cookie mixes or cake mixes

Model good fruit eating habits yourself :) Munch on a peach or kiwi in front of him and rave about how good it is!

First of all, don't force him to eat fruit or put a big stress on the fact that he needs fruit. Chances are hes not dying without it, although the vitamins in fruit are vital to proper development. When you serve a meal, always put some sort of fruit on the plate. Don't pressure him to try it, because it will make him rebel against it even more. Eventually, if he keeps seeing the same thing reappear on his plate everyday, chances are he will try it out..and probably like it!

You could also involve him in grocery shopping, and even meal time. Have him help pick out fruits at the grocery store, maybe the fruits you are introducing don't physically appeal to him. When meal time comes around, give him choices..."Do you want pears or strawberries today?" Don't overwhelm him with choices, let him pick from 2 or 3. GOOD LUCK!
