    I cant remember the exact time but its similar to pears and apples they flower and develop fruit in the one year (apples generally take about 6 months from flowering to picking). Depending on your climate some lemons will continue to flower periodically through out the year and have both fully developed and developing fruit in all seasons.

    Lemon trees grown from seeds take ages to flower.
    From grafts, about 3 years, depending on your climate.
    In Italy, it is customary to pinch off the flowers of lemon trees for the first 3 years. They will produce much more fruit later.
