How much do we charge for wild, white raspberries to a local market in our town?

We have wild, white raspberries on our property. My grandmother said we should contact our local market and sell them, but we are not for sure what to charge. I have tried to find some information on the internet but am having no luck. Maybe I should just keep them for myself, they are delicious!

I would contact an upscale market chain, such as Whole Foods and ask them if they carry these seasonal fruits and how much do they charge per pound, carton etc… This will give you an idea of a price range you might want to charge. Good Luck, the berries sound yummy!

I would charge whatever the equivalent of raspberries in your local supermarket is, though maybe slightly less for an edge, and because you are not dependent on growing them. A place like whole foods wouldn’t be the best to contact, because they are selling Organic raspberries, which are certified pesticide free, and have to meet alot of regulations on being completely safe and natural. But if you use the price of regular raspberries, that should be fine. However, to supply a store, you really would need a lot of raspberries, so if it’s just a few bushes I wouldn’t bother.

are you going to get a bench at a local farmers market and sell them yourself, or are you going to wholesale them to someone else?
if you’re selling yourself, you may be able to charge a premium, because people like fresh stuff from the grower…if you’re wholesaling them expect to get less than half what they can get selling them off the shelf…

a roadside stand would probably work best…you dont even have to sit with it; most people are honest and pay for what they take…
