Boniato is a sweet potato and a zapallito is a little zucchini.

My favourite way of cooking the sweet potato is to drizzle some oil on some skinned chunks and baking them in the oven with whole onions.

Not a huge fan of zucchini, I really like them slathered in salt and pepper, spread with a little oil and grilled.

I’ve no idea what these are but if you got them from the fruit market – they got to be fruits.. any type of fruit can be eaten raw….

I know them both ! They are cousins & are owners of the fruit market ..

Originally they came from Sicilly but they migrated to Sydney & had the fruit & veg shop in a Five Dock
They migrated to Uraguay in the late 70′s & must have done well to have fruit or veg named after them !
