At my pediatricians recommendation, I started fruits 3 weeks ago. I was told to start veggies soon after, once my son got the hang of eating. </p>
<p>My son is 5 months and a big boy (19lbs12oz and 28in). In addition to fruit twice a day he has about 40oz of formula.</p>
<p>So my question is, is it OK to start giving him a fruit in the morning and veggie at night? Please don&#8217;t criticize me for starting food at 5 months. Be nice. Thank you.</p>

<p><i>Answer by i ℓovє♥ mч Sσn</i><br/>I started on veggies first, just so he wouldn&#8217;t get a likeing for just sweets. I went through all the veggies and then started on fruit. So it took about 2 week of veggies.<br />
Now my son is almost 9 months and weighs as much as your son exactly, but taller. </p>
<p>I guess if you went through fruits there shouldn&#8217;t be a problem started veggies just start slow and keep an eye out obviously for the allergies.</p>

<p>You might even find it more attractive to include fruits in your diet because of its relatively inexpensive price tag. Some people don&#8217;t know this and they think that they can&#8217;t afford fresh fruit because it might be too expensive. But consider the price you already pay for a pack of potato chips or take out meals. You should make it habit to substitute those unhealthy snacks and replace them with fruit, then you will definitely notice a gap in your food bill. It might even be less! Although the real benefit that you get when replacing those unhealthy snacks with a serving of fruits is a healthier body. And there is no possible price tag for your health.</p>
<p>One great tip to help you to eat more fruit is to keep fruit out in a place where you can see it, like in the front of the refrigerator or out on the kitchen counter. By doing this you will be more likely to eat it than if it is kept out of site.</p>
<p>We must keep in mind that fruits are the most natural foods on this planet. They are almost the only kinds of food that grow on a tree or a bush that you can eat without any preparation or cooking. Your body has a craving for all natural foods. Fruit is how food is supposed to be.</p>
<p>So if you think fruit isn&#8217;t an important factor for your health, then you should reconsider. Fruits can improve your memory, prevent disease, and they can provide your body with necessary water. There are tons of benefits that come from this food easily obtainable and most importantly all natural. So do yourself a favor and begin eating more fruit. You will love feeling and looking better.</p>
