Fresh squeezed a pomegranate? I haven’t done that before. How did you juice it?

Pomegranates are great. They are rich with anti-oxidants ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anti-oxidants ) and has polyunsaturated oils in it. It’s high in Vitamin C and Potassium.

In human research, pomegranate has been shown to reduce the risk factors associated with heart disease. The way pomegranate does this is decrease atherosclerosis (hardening of the arteries) and therefore decrease the chance of cardiovascular disease.

In addition, it reduces blood pressure (because it works on the ACE system in your kidneys) and may have an antibacterial efffect. Its seed oil (which you won’t have in pomegranate juice) was shown to be effective against breast cancer in lab research (but not in human research yet)
