Would chocolate chunks be good in fruit salad?

I had the idea to put some in a fruit salad that I’ll be making soon, but don’t know if it would be good. I like chocolate and fruit together. Like, a bag of chocolate chunks. Not chocolate chips. I don’t know if the softness of the fruit and the hard chocolate would be good together. What do you think?

Chunks may not be suitable, however some shavings of dark chocolate could be flavorful, as well as slightly more health-conscious than big ol’ fat chunks.

    no, try putting yogurt instead!

No… the cold fruit will make it leave a coating in your mouth. Besides, chocolate chips have additives that keep them in shape in cookies, and aren’t great for uses other than baking.

Maybe you could try cacao nibs, they have a crunchy texture, have a fruity taste, and go great with fruit, especially pears and berries.

I guess it depends on your sense of taste..I happen to think it tastes great together. I have used candy bar chunks in apple salad (usually Snickers) so I know it would be very flavorful. Go for it!

No, not a good idea. The chocolate would start to break down from the fruit acids and get gooey. It would look strange.

    Sounds good to me.
